Chapter 92: Gordon Austin

Inside a dark underground casino.

Frenzied shouting and calls for bets split the place in two; Hostesses with well-developed bodies were flaunting their assets while serving tea and wine for exhilarated gamblers, with some even snuggling up into their bosom, attempting to engage them romantically while casting flirtatious glances in their eyes; They looked as if one was able to do with them anything they wished.

The gamblers were excitedly looking at the bargaining chips on the tables, yet their hands were uncontrollably shuttling to and fro in vast expressions of tenderness.

The entire scene, filled with debauchery and luxury, was rotten down to its core. To those gambling addicts, however, it was heaven.

“What are you doing, dawdling about like this, Lil’ Jiu?? Why aren’t you hurrying to bring the wine up to Room 12! The boss and a guest are currently discussing business. If you were to neglect our guests, I’ll fire you and make you starve!”  Wiping thick layers of powder onto her face, the female brothel keeper used sharp and unkind words to angrily berate the young slow-witted maid who had just arrived a few days ago.

“I-I’m sorry! I will immediately bring the wine there…” The maid named Lil’ Jiu respectfully nodded her head.

She had an appearance of a 17-18 years old, with light-blue hair that trailed down to her shoulders, long and thick blue lashes, as well as fair and tender skin. Her young figure was like an unripe flower bud devoid of any growth. As a whole, it resembled a fresh and innocent woman ignorant about worldly affairs.

Logically speaking, a young lady in the prime of her youth shouldn’t show up in such a rotten location.

Lil’ Jiu adjusted her appearance for a while, trying her best to pull the fabric exposing her collarbones upwards. Once done, she carefully carried the wine tray with both of her hands and went to the compartment upstairs.

“E-Excuse me.” Lil’ Jiu kept her head down as she carefully opened the door.

As soon as it was open, she felt a scorching gaze cruising over her body. It felt as if a large formless hand was stroking every inch of her skin, causing her to tremble severely.

“Hehehe, come here little girl, come to uncle.” The person that was currently talking to Lil’ Jiu from inside the room was a well-dressed middle-aged man with a benevolent smile across his face. On the opposite side of the room was a man wearing a black, western-style hat.

“…O-Okay.” Lil’ Jiu hesitantly came to a halt, the gaze earlier had disturbed her and made her feel afraid.

“What are you dazing out for?? Did you not hear the command the guest has given you?” Said the black-hatted man, whose hands laid flat on a table, coldly. There was a hint of rebuke in his voice.

—He was her boss.

“Yes, yes!”

The shy Lil’ Jiu came to the table, still carrying the tray of wine bottles and cups.

“Come on, don’t be afraid. Sit on uncle’s lap.” The kind and amiable middle-aged man leaned on a cane and patted his thigh.

Lil’ Jiu hesitated for a moment. After looking at her boss whose complexion was gradually darkening, she hurriedly did as she was told and sat down on the thighs of the amiable middle-aged man.

“Mmm… How old are you this year, little girl?”

“Seven… Ah~”

“Mhm? What’s wrong?”

“I-It’s not…I am seventeen, esteemed guest…” Replied Lil’ Jiu, forcing herself to endure the humiliation.

“Oh, what’s your name?” Asked the kind middle-aged with a smile on his face.

“L-Lil’ Jiu…”

“Lil’ Jiu? Mhm, that’s a good name.” The kind middle-aged man smiled. His actions didn’t show any intention of letting Lil’ Jiu go. Instead, they had become even more severe.

“Mr. Rohter, I wonder if the Lordship of your branch is satisfied with the help we provided?” Asked the man with the black hat coldly.

“Oh, of course of course. My Lordship had expressed that he was very satisfied with it. Just that the amount was somewhat lesser than expected…” The kind middle-aged man looked at the black-hatted man.

“These are no issues. I only hope that Lord Lan will not forget about honoring his commitment after he achieves his objective.” The man lowered his hat.

“That goes without saying. My lordship’s words have always been worth their weight in gold… So, is it possible to increase the supply of ‘goods’?

“As I said, that isn’t a problem.”

“Hahaha! Great, our lordship loves frank and straightforward people like you. Rest assured, no one will dare touch this district. They would be going against the government if they were to! …Mr. Mo, to a pleasant cooperation.”

“To a pleasant cooperation. Please send my regards to Lord Lan.” Replied the black-hatted man gloomy and nodded.

“To a pleasant cooperation? I am afraid that that might not be the case.” Interjected a voice out of nowhere.

The person who had spoken was none other than the delicate young lady, Lil’ Jiu.

At this moment, her face was frosty and serious.

The black-hatted man clearly felt that something was amiss.

“Tch, tch. Lil’ Jiu, you are still a bit too young. It’s best you don’t involve yourself with affairs between grown-ups… Otherwise… Eeek!” The complexion of the kind middle-aged man changed as his eyes widened greatly. With his eyes wide and his tongue-tied, he looked at the dagger being thrust towards his neck.

“Stay away from me, you old per~vert!” Lil’ Jiu disdainfully swatted the crude palm that was caressing her leg away, and viciously pierced the middle-aged man’s neck with her weapon.

“It’s a waste of fresh air to leave scummy officials that prey and cruelly exploit commoners alive. Die, scum.” An evil smile appeared on Lil’ Jiu’s young and adorable face as she rotated the dagger’s handle, thus turning the neck of the middle-aged man into mush.

The middle-aged man, his complexion now deathly pale, collapsed to the ground with a thud. He had died from suffocation.

“Whose henchmen do you belong to, brat?? How dare you come and cause trouble!!” With fury the black hatted man stood up in alarm. He held one of his hands behind his back and began to silently recite a series of runes.

“Look carefully, your daddy is a male.” Lil’ Jiu deliberately lowered the pitch of ‘her’ voice as ‘she’ curled her lips.

“I‘ve been observing this place a few days ago. As it was only a hunch back then and I couldn’t ascertain it, I had no choice. Lowering my status, I assumed the role of a maid and stayed here for a few days…” While saying so, Lil’ Jiu removed ‘her’ wig before throwing it on the floor and looked at the man with the black hat in amusement.

“This trip of mine was not in vain, as I’ve finally caught up to your crafty steps, Ancestral God Cult.”

“I think you’re… seeking death!”

“My noble Lord, protect your insignificant follower!” The hatted man snorted coldly as he sent a claw wrapped in purple-black flames towards Lil’ Jiu.

【Destructive Class Magic—The Ancestral God’s Purple Flame Claws】

The power it released caused the surrounding air to distort, while the temperature released by the dark-purple flames was so high that it even carbonized the tiles of the floor.

“You hold that much confidence in this power? But at the end of the day, it doesn’t belong to you.” Lil’ Jiu unhurriedly drew out another dagger hidden behind ‘her’ back.

【Common Class Magic— Capric Counter Handguard】

“Clank!” The magic claw rammed against the handguard and sent sparks flying.

The hatted man staggered and almost fell down to the ground.

“How… How can this be!?”

‘The destructive-class magic claw the demon god had bestowed onto me was defeated with a common-class sword technique… How is this possible?! I had actually used this move before to easily kill several temple knights…’

“Does it feel amazing for you guys to become the lackeys of an evil cult and use strength not belonging to yourself?” Killing intent began to seep out from the cold eyes of Lil’ Jiu.

“You should end this lamentable life of yours’ and meet your shy and cowardly 【God】!”

“RALIETUM vestum canis………Peccetor ast senguis florua ire scintilles……” Lil’ Jiu’s voices chanted a series of abstruse and complex words.  Extremely complex syllables overlapped each other and gradually turned into a sound that did not resemble the language of any living being.

“T-This is…” Red and black runes appeared out of thin air before Lil’ Jiu and converged into a spell of blazing energy.

“Is— Is this spirit language!? …Impossible! How can humans, who are inferior to my lord, use spirit language?? …I-Is this witchcraft??” What the hatted man got in response was a raging fireball the size of a human.

“Remember, the person who killed you is called Gordon. Gordon Austin. Make your dark lord remember this.” The cold voice of ‘Lil’ Jiu’ reverberated through the air; It was followed by the booming sound of an explosion.
