The first thing everyone needs to understand is that humans are a first-tier species.
And every demon belongs to the second-tier species. Although they all belong at the same stage, there is a difference between the initial and peak stages.
The tiers are always fixed in place if they do not change their race or their bloodlines, with the amount of strength they possess determined by the [Primordial Vein] passed down by their respective race.
No living beings have met creatures of the third-tier species or beyond, at least not in the recent eras. Because of that, the third, fourth and god-tier species were all treated as fictional fairy-tales.
The disparity between different tiers species was like a chasm that was practically impossible to overcome.
Also, there’s a question a lot of people asked me about: Why were firearms being phased out? Ummm…(>﹏<)
Didn’t you guys read the book carefully? Isn’t the reason why they were phased out precisely because they had no effect against demons?
As for hydrogen bombs and what not… This world isn’t a parallel world based in reality. How do you know there are hydrogen bombs there? Σ(ﾟдﾟ；) Besides, these weapons are used against people; They can’t kill demons, alright?
They’ve also ridiculed why firearms were unable to deal with demons, but conventional weapons can?? Hey— Even conventional weapons couldn’t keep them at bay, alright? Σ(ﾟдﾟ；)
There was a chapter that laid it out really clearly. Only conventional weapons created from materials containing [Dark matter] can injure demons.
Finally, they have said that Ji Bai is very weak… and that it wasn’t the same person fighting Manda… After all, that was just a fight between humans. Do you really expect a battle against a first-tier species to play out the same way as that of a second-tier one?
Ji Bai is very strong as a human, to the point that he managed to kill a vampire duke. (Not by himself, he had borrowed the hands of a non-human being to do so)
Magic Class: Common-class, Crushing-class, Destructive-class, Disaster-class, Despair-class, Divine-vein, Impeccability-class, True Divine-Vein.
Within which, crushing-class is the limit that humans can grasp.
