Chapter 51: The Royal Family’s Bloodline

“Oh well~ It makes no difference anyway. The kid is currently in her rebelling phase and doesn’t want to see me in the least.” The silver-haired girl put her legs that she placed on the table down. After licking the potato residues that were left in her hand, she jumped down from the chair.

“How time flies like an arrow… When that child was small, she always pestered me everyday about taking an afternoon nap together. Sigh~ I would have never expected her to turn into a tsundere… Oh, that reminds me. There’s apparently an urgent report over at the frontlines. Lan Yi~ Can you go and take a look for me~?”

“I seem to recall that you’re the Chivalry Leader, right?” Lan Yi narrowed her eyes as she stared at the girl in front of her, who was currently trying to slack off.

“Oh my~ It’s already this late~  Other young children around my age have already tucked themselves quietly into their beds. It’s time for me to sleep as well~ Otherwise, it will affect my growth spurt! What should I do if I can’t grow taller in the future?” While hugging onto her iP*d, the girl coquettishly stuck her tongue out.

“Hold on a minute, a vampire hardly requires sleep, don’t they? Also, your age is more than enough to be my grandmother…”

“Sigh! Don’t you know it’s very rude to talk about a girl’s age? Don’t mind those minor details!” After saying this, she burrowed out of the room in a flash…

…leaving Lan Yi, who was helplessly holding onto her forehead behind.

…………

“Did the squad operation succeed?” Situated on the border town of Falling Origin District, in an abandoned garbage dump located on the edge of the wall, laid a massive rubbish depot. Created to hold various types of large garbage, there was currently a massive silhouette of a body in it. Its bronze-colored skin radiated a seemingly metallic light under the moonlit night.

“A few situations appeared… however, the mission still proceeded rather smoothly. The radio transmitter that was safeguarded in the building and used to control the Star Origin barrier has already fallen into our hands.” A gruff tone tinged with respect and a hint of reverence resounded.

“Situations?”

“That’s right. According to the report given by the veteran that took the Star Origin radio transmitter, a knight wearing a Sacred armor charged in and slightly deviated the mission.”

“A Sacred Martial knight…?” The brows of the bronze-colored skin troll wrinkled slightly beneath the headscarf, he thoughtfully looked at his subordinates for a moment.

“Forget it. Victory and defeat will depend on the actions we take while moving on. Try not to create any more problems. Everything will be easily solved once the city gates are breached.” The fourth brother of the trolls deeply exhaled. Its eyes that had been staring at the silent night sky suddenly turned harsh and filled with killing intent.

“…This is the scent of the Asiatic cat race,” The fourth brother muttered faintly.

As they heard this, the extremely deferential troll soldiers faintly froze; following which, they revealed a series of malevolent smiles.

“There are actually Asiatic cats inside a human city? It couldn’t be the one that we lost, right? Gigi…”

Just like how the Asiatic cat people had a soul-engraving fear of trolls, a troll’s nose was particularly sensitive towards the scent of an Asiatic cat.

…………

“This comes to a total of 750 dollars. Thank you for your patronage.”

“Mmhmm! Thank you, big sister!~” Ke’er gave a polite smile as she took the bag from the hands of the saleslady. With her small claws wrapping around the bag in her hands, she walked out of the store while joyfully humming an unknown tune.

“La la la~ Ouch!” Ke’er’s forehead bumped into something while she was walking. The forceful recoil made her bounce back and had caused her to sit on the ground instead.

“I-I’m shorry. I didshn’t intentionally… Eh?” While covering her forehead with her hand, Ke’er stood up and immediately apologized. When she looked at the abdominal muscles that were at the same height as her head, she suddenly felt that something was wrong.

Ke’er swallowed a mouthful of saliva and slowly moved her gaze upwards. Under the moonlight, a sinister head filled with wrinkles and calluses was currently looking at her while laughing…

“Nyaaaaa!!” Ke’er was frightened to the point of trembling. Her feet quickly gave way as her small butt once again landed on the ground.

The red-skinned troll drew back the corner of its mouth and revealed its big teeth. At this moment, Ke’er was almost like prey that had fallen into a hunter’s trap; it was useless no matter how much she struggled.

“My God! This prop is truly too life-like, isn’t it? You must have made quite the effort to make it, didn’t you dude?  It looks quite expensive.” A clueless passenger had a curious expression on his face as he walked towards the troll. Without a hint of modesty, he began to pick and pull on the troll’s body.

“Mhm. This skin is quite interesting. It’s indeed quite the work. They have made it out to be quite realistic for sure. What type of material is this made of?” The passerby knitted his eyebrows and asked his questions while pinching the troll’s hand.

“Mr. stranger… Run.” Ke’er, who was kneeling down on the ground, warned the reckless passerby in front of her in a trembling voice.

“Don’t be afraid, little girl. This is only a prop and something fake! Be at ease, there are probably two people inside the costume. I am guessing that one of them is riding the shoulder of the other.” The passerby waved his hand while he continued to recklessly knock away at the troll’s body.

“…” The troll was expressionlessly looked down at the passerby tinkering at its body on the side and raised its pillar-thick arm.

“It’s so realistic! I wonder to what extent did they reconstruct the bottom half of the body? Take it out and let me have a look? …Eh?! Brother, what are you…!?” The passerby felt stupefied once he felt his feet gradually left the ground. When he raised his head, his eyes just happened to come in contact with the malevolent and ridiculing smile of the troll.

The change in its incomparably vivid appearance completely frightened the passerby. As he gradually realized the truth, cold sweat began to break out.

“Dirty worm.” The corner of the troll’s mouth lifted up even more to form a cruel smile.

“…Save, Save—!…”

“Crack!” Before the passerby could let out a blood-curdling shriek, his head tumbled down like a football. The horrified expression before his death was still visible on his face allowing one to vividly see the broken flesh and tissue around the area of the gaping hole.

“Nyaauuu…! The scene was extremely bloody and had turned Ke’er’s complexion into an unsightly color, making her gag.  As her stomach turned over, she felt that she was about to puke out the dinner she had just eaten.

“Oh? Isn’t this the little kitten that Second Brother lost?? Hehe, you’re truly disobedient. I didn’t think you’d actually go so far as to go inside a human’s town! Come, let me bring you to meet your brethren!”

“Beat it troll! Get far away from her!” The six knights that had been secretly following Ke’er bravely stepped forward. As they drew out their long swords in succession, their black robes covered in light armor were embroidered in a white moon. Standing by Ke’er side and protecting her, they vigilantly looked at the troll.

“Oh? You had only stayed in the human cities for a few days, yet you’ve already hooked up with several guys? That’s pretty good. As it turns out, you’re a b*tch behind the back.”  The troll casually threw out the beheaded corpse like a piece of trash and stretched its muscles about. Following which, he gave Ke’er, who was still rooted at the same spot out of fear, a look of ridicule.

“What an arrogant b*stard!” A tall moon knight widened his eyes in anger. After raising his sword, he sent it stabbing directly towards the troll’s chest.

【Phyrrus’ Hidden Strike】

“Clang!” The sound of metal colliding against metal rippled through the air. A tiny, white scar appeared on the solid bronze-colored skin of the troll.

“What an extremely pitiful human.” The corners of the troll’s mouth revealed a cruel smile once more. As if its scarlet arm had received some sort of enchantment, veins began to pop up from it. Then, it ferociously swung its arm towards the knight, as if it was staking everything in one throw.

The moon knight tried to dodge, yet found his body had unknowingly lost consciousness. Like a large mountain pressing against his back, pain and asphyxiation rushed forward like seawater bursting forth from a collapsing dike.

“Bang!” The moon knight flew out like a broken kite and firmly smashed against the wall of a cafe.

“Help! It’s the demons! Demons invaded the town!” A series of extremely horrific shrieks shattered the nearly decade worth of serenity in the border town. Underneath the scarlet moonlight, an extremely chaotic street unfolded.

“T-This…!? The remaining knights wanted to go ahead and help out, however, they felt their bodies sink down as if a large mountain was pressing down on them. With one knee on the ground, they felt as if they were only moving an inch at a time.

The scene before them was clearly beyond the understanding of these young knights, causing an indescribable dread to arouse within them.

“Tremble before the royal blood of the trolls, lowlife!” The troll roared towards the skies as the corner of its mouth formed a malevolent and disdainful smile.
